Download Linux – Links to 20 popular distributions

I always find myself telling people to just download Linux. This usually follows up with “which distribution” and i’ll recommend a couple but always end with “try a few and see which one you like best – it’s all personal preference!”.

Then, they’ll ask for a list of some good ones to try.. I could send them to Distrowatch, but that could be a bit much for someone just getting into Linux.

So we created a site (oops.. a while ago) that lists the 20 most popular distributions with links to their actual download pages. Next time someone asks you which distribution, where to get it, give em this link!

Our site, Download Linux: http://www.download-linux.com
